The  Authority  of  the  Bible

We  believe  the  Old  and  New  Testaments  of  the  Bible  in  the  original  manuscripts  and  languages  are the infallible  and  inspired  Word  of  God.    We  believe  the  Bible  is  the  complete  revelation  of  God’s truth  and  the  supreme  authority  for  belief  and  behaviour.

One  God  in  Three  Persons

We  believe  there  is  one  true  and  living  God,  the  creator  of  heaven  and  earth,  eternally  existing  in three  persons:  Father,  Son  and  Holy  Spirit.

Our  Sinful  Condition

We  believe  God  created  Man  in  His  own  image.    When  Adam  chose  to  disobey  Him,  sin  entered the  world  and  broke  the  relationship  between  God  and  mankind.    As  a  result  of  this  all  are  sinners and  condemned  to  eternal  punishment.

The  Son  of  God

We  believe  that  Jesus,  the  eternal  Son  of  God,  was  born  of  a  virgin  and  lived a  sinless  life  as  man without  ceasing  to  be  God.  He  died  on  the  cross,  shedding  His  blood  as  a  sacrifice  for  all  mankind. He  was  buried,  raised  from  the  dead  in  bodily  form  on  the  third  day,  ascended  into  heaven  and  is seated  on  the  right  hand  of  the  Father.

Salvation  Through  Faith  in  Jesus  the  Son  of  God

We  believe  that  salvation,  from  sin  and  the  penalty  of  sin,  is  through  repentance  and  faith  in  Jesus Christ  alone.    Through  faith  believers  are  accounted  righteous  before  a  Holy  God.    This  justification is  God’s  free  gift  of  undeserved  mercy  leading  to  being  born  again.

Believers  Observances

We  believe  Jesus  taught  two  practices  to  be  observed,  in  obedience  to  Him,  by  all  who  have  truly repented,  believed  with  all  their  heart  and  confessed  with  their  mouth  that  Jesus  is  their  personal Saviour  and  Lord.    These  are:
i. Believers’  baptism  by  full  immersion  in  water;  and,
ii. Holy  Communion.

The  Holy  Spirit

We  believe  the  Holy  Spirit  was  sent  after  the  resurrection  and  ascension  of  Jesus  to  convict  the world  of  sin, righteousness  and  judgement.    For  every  new-born  believer  in  the  Lord  Jesus,  we believe  the  Holy  Spirit  indwells,  teaches,  comforts  and  empowers.    We  believe  the  gifts  of  the  Holy Spirit  continue  to  operate  amongst  believers  today,  as  He  enables  and  as  He  chooses,  and  the  fruit of  this  is  love,  joy,  peace,  long-‐suffering,  kindness,  goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness  and  self-control  in  the  lives  of  believers.

One  Body  of  Believers  in  Jesus

We  hold  that  all  believers,  born  of  the  Spirit  and  justified  through  faith  by  grace,  both  Jew  and Gentile,  comprise  one body  reconciled  to  God  through  the  cross  of  Jesus  the  Messiah.

The  Nation  of  Israel

We  believe  in  the  fulfilment  of  God’s  biblical  promises  for  Israel  and  the  Jewish  nation.

The  Millennial  Kingdom

We  believe  the  the  Lord  Jesus  Christ  will  return  in  person,  to  judge  everyone,  to  execute  God’s  just condemnation  on those  who  have  not  repented  and  believed  and  to  receive  the  redeemed  to eternal  glory.
